  Although I've not had to make a claim, Brentacre have been excellent so far. The other reviews are correct in that they require copies of your driving license and a whole load of other paperwork, but they're very friendly and helpful on the phone, as well as very understanding and patient when I took much longer than planned to get my license to them. Also worth mentioning is that they happily insured my freshly imported car on the VIN so it could be driven home, and were happy to insure me that way for as long as it took to get a number plate from the DVLA.

  Excellent. Ringing around a few insurers and their quote was among the best. Emailed in the documents they needed and the policy was issued. Much better experience than last insurer

  If you plan on going with this place for car insurance DO NOT CHANGE YOUR CAR AND DON'T PAY IT ALL IN ONE GO. The quote i got for my modified ibiza was decent, so i paid for a full year. However i bought a scirocco and thought it wouldn't change much. They wanted an extra £300 on top of what i had already paid, i had quotes for about £500 for the scirocco so i told them to cancel my policy that i hadn't even had a month. So i asked how much the refund will be, ended up costing me £245 for one months insurance! Avoid like the plague
